Dunedin Boat Club Racing

We had a wonderful time racing Wednesday evening and managed to finish 2 races while taking in a great sunset. We followed it up with ice cream, cookies and BEvERages at the DBC. A big THANK YOU goes out to Sandy and Gene Wieher for doing an excellent job as the Race Committee!

Due to the limited time window we have in the evenings, there will be no Skipper's meeting prior to the Wednesday evening races.  Please monitor VHF channel 72 prior to the race to receive instructions from the RC.  If you do not have a VHF, you will need to personally check with the RC prior to the race to receive instructions.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it or calling Chad @ (727) 238-7788 *prior* to 6:00 PM on Wednesday.  Please provide the skipper's name, sail number of the vessel, and the your PHRF RLC and BUOY ratings.

Each boat must verbally check in with the Race Committee prior to the race, so give yourself time to do so.

We are starting the DBC Wednesday Evening Summer Race Series on Wednesday June 2nd at 18:30.  There are a total of 6 evenings scheduled this summer and we will squeeze in as many races as weather and daylight permit.

We are going to continue with the tradition of using the floating dock outside the DBC as a "Race Committee Dock" and set the starting pin near the dock.  Sandy and Gene have generously volunteered (again) to be the RC, so we will be in excellent hands.  The dates have been scheduled with the tides in mind, so there should be plenty of water for all types of boats to participate.  This is a perfect opportunity to get involved with our racing program, so come on out and have some fun with us Wednesday night.

We will be providing ice cream, cookies and BEvERages at the DBC after the races.

We had another great day for racing Saturday in the Gulf.  Island Hopper, Sails Lady and Last Call finished 1-2-3. It was blowing upwards of 15 knots and the seas were a bit lumpy, but a great time was had by all.
